The GWCCA: Always Eager to Assist
Across the street from the campus of the GWCCA stands the Shepherd’s Inn – the Atlanta Mission shelter, which serves as many as 425 homeless men every day. During a recent visit with shelter Director George Wright, it was mentioned that they had just acquired two buffers to clean and polish floors, but really did not know how to use them. In response, the GWCCA was eager to offer assistance. Team members Michael Coatney and Anthony Bray from the GWCC Building Services Department took time to schedule arrangements and provide training to the men at the Shepherd’s Inn who would use the equipment. A timely solution in response to an expressed need by volunteering to educate others – that’s what Best in Class Community Service is all about! Thank you Michael and Anthony for your actions that better the lives of others.
