GWCC LEED Survey- Please Read and Complete!

The GWCC is undergoing the process of earning LEED certification as part of our sustainability efforts. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is an internationally recognized point-based green building rating system and some well-known buildings have earned this prestigious designation, including the Empire State Building, Philips Arena, and the San Diego Convention Center.

Staff and partners who work in the GWCC are asked to help us on this journey by completing the following survey:

The survey asks employees at the GWCC to identify the method of transportation they took to and from work last week (July 29 – August 4).

There are several options to choose from, including an option for the employee if he/she was on vacation or if it was a scheduled day off and they did not travel. The second part of the survey asks the employee to rate the comfort of their workspace on a scale of 1 (extremely dissatisfied) to 7 (extremely satisfied). If the employee is transient and does not have a dedicated workspace/office, please have them consider their department common area as their workspace.

This survey should only take a couple of minutes to complete and it is critical to have both regular full and part time staff complete it by the end of this week. Hard copies of the survey have been emailed to department heads if this method is preferred.

If you or anyone in your department has a question, please call/email Tim Trefzer (ext. 4265) or ask your department’s Green Team representative. Please have all paper surveys interdepartmental mailed to Tim as well.

And keep in mind this is for folks of the GWCC only, not those housed at the Park or Dome.

Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to sharing the results soon!
