GWCC Building Services Promotions!
Congratulations to two GWCC Building Services team members for their promotions this month! Kenneth Fortson is the new Set-Up Manager and Christopher Pace is the new B Shift-Shift Manager. Both have been members of the GWCCA team for quite some time. Kenny has worked here for over 25 years and Chris for over 20.
When asked about the most impressive or exciting event they’ve worked at the convention center, they each had an extra impressive answer. Kenny said the Super Show, which took up every available inch of the building, as well as his very first event: the Democratic National Convention in 1988. Chris said the 1996 Olympic Games. Wow, what a great testament to our amazing event history!
Kenny’s favorite thing about working at the GWCCA is the challenge. He receives a lot of unexpected requests and enjoys making them happen. He also likes all the different types of people with varying backgrounds who visit the facility. Chris’ favorite thing about working here is the staff (yay, go team!).
When not here at the GWCC, Chris enjoys working out and watching movies. Kenny also enjoys working out as well as working with his wife to beautify their yard. He also enjoys working on home renovation projects, ideas for which his wife is never lacking!
Congratulations to Kenny and Chris on their new positions, and thank you for so many years of dedicated service!
