Waste Expo: ‘Clearly southern hospitality is imbued in the culture of the GWCC’


In a letter to Georgia World Congress Center General Manager Mark Zimmerman, Waste Expo showed their appreciation for the GWCC team: 


Hello Mark,


I wanted to take a minute post WasteExpo to express my appreciation,  clearly southern hospitality is imbued in the culture of the Georgia World Congress Center. 

Joe Cano and Andrea McCullough made a wonderful 1st impression.  Our “emergency” site visit in February was last minute and the planning for it occurred during a terrible stretch of winter weather in Atlanta, regardless both were responsive, flexible, and thoughtful and their willingness to go the extra mile insured a smooth and successful site visit that ultimately paved the way for a great onsite event experience.

 My pre-event planning experience was characterized by the same theme, responsive, flexible, and thoughtful.  Eric Ingvaldsen  insured all my questions & concerns were addressed in a timely fashion, and was able to help us come up with some creative ways to help us accomplish our goals while maintaining our budget.  I cannot say enough good things about Levy’s commitment to insuring our event had an outstanding F&B presence.  Danielle did a wonderful job of managing the catering timeline, listening and responding to our event specific needs, looking for opportunities to connect to our attendees, and generally making us feel like valued guests.  Blake Jenkins was able to work with us to give us the internet service and bandwidth we needed while maintaining  our budget, his responsiveness and flexibility allowed us to give our attendees and our staff a seamless technical experience. 

 I would also like to take a moment to mention your website, the event planning tools floor plans, cad layouts for each room etc..  simplifies and streamlines the process on my end so much.  All in all I would sum up my experience with these words,  event planning is time consuming, detailed, deadline oriented work, it is clear that the GWCC understands the demands on event planners and has developed a culture of hospitality, responsiveness, flexibility, and thoughtfulness which illustrates their dedication to their customers, it is remarkable, and greatly appreciated.
