Centennial Olympic Park Receives the 20-year Impact Award
The Urban Land Institute Atlanta awarded Centennial Olympic Park the 20-year Impact Award, which was presented on September 11, 2014, at the annual awards dinner held this year at the College Football Hall of Fame. The award signifies the Park as the most impactful development in Downtown Atlanta in the last 20 years. Billy Payne, the chief executive officer of the 1996 Olympic Games and longtime friend of the Park, AJ Robinson, president for Central Atlanta Progress, and Barbara Faga, landscape architect that was instrumental in the design of the Park, voiced over a montage created for the Park at the dinner. Dan Graveline, former GWCCA Executive Director, accepted the award.
