Come try Googie Burger’s “Better Burger” and vote to help us win!

Googie Burger debuts today their entry in the James Beard Foundation’s Better Burger Project™, and we need YOUR help to win!

In order to compete in the James Beard Foundation’s Better Burger Project ™, we want all customers, partners, employees to vote for Googie Burger’s “Better Burger” by sharing a photo of your burger on Instagram with the hashtag #BetterBurgerProject.

Googie’s “Better Burger” is a blend of ground lamb, diced Portobello, and crimini mushrooms with melted Havarti cheese, red onion jam, balsamic tossed mixed greens, and sliced tomatoes on a butter-grilled, corn-dusted Kaiser bun.

After the contest concludes on July 31, 2015, the five (5) chefs with the most Instagram uploads by consumers will win a trip to New York City in October 2015 to cook their “Better Burgers” at the official welcome reception for the annual JBF Food Conference at the historic James Beard House.

The Better Burger Project™ is an initiative through the James Beard Foundation to improve the burger by blending ground meat with finely chopped mushrooms, creating a more delicious, healthy, and sustainable burger. Blending meat and mushrooms in a burger not only improves flavor, texture and juiciness, it also reduces calories, fat, and sodium while adding important nutrients to the plate like vitamin D, potassium and B vitamins and enhances the restaurant’s menu with sustainable, plant-based items.

This burger will be available at Googie until July 31st for $6.95. Remember, GWCCA employees and partners receive a 20% discount at Googie!
