Being Stewards: Authority Participates In Earth Day Clean Up

A sizable and spirited crew of Authority team members, guided by Sustainability Manager Tim Trefzer, participated today (Friday, April 21) in the City of Atlanta’s Earth Day Service Project in conjunction with Friends of English Avenue.

Starting at Lindsay Street Baptist Church, the team canvassed several blocks of the Westside neighborhood picking up and bagging trash, debris, and other refuse – helping to make a part of our community a little bit brighter.

This project was chosen not only due to its proximity just west of campus, but because the Proctor Creek watershed that encompasses the neighborhood feeds into the Chattahoochee River – the primary water source for metro Atlanta and our partners at Sweetwater Brewery/420 Festival.
