Show Your Heart Love

February 14th is the perfect time to show your ♥ love. Try out small, heart-healthy acts like taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Also, walking around your local farmer’s market will make you feel inspired to try a new fruit or vegetable.

With the Hunger Walk/Run a little over a week away (February 25, 2018), our hearts are starting to go pitter-patter. If you have not signed up for the Hunger Walk/Run, it’s not too late to show us how much you love fighting hunger.

Another way to show your heart love is with tasty food. Eating for a healthy heart means filling your plate with heart-healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, paying attention to fiber, eating healthy fats and limiting unhealthy fats like trans fats, as well as salt. Try out this heart-healthy recipe from the American Heart Association.

Black Bean Soup
